Some masks are positioned near the entrance, forming an ethereal barrier against negative energies. 

Others are set facing outward, their gaze a deterrent to any lurking evil. However, to harness the full potency of these masks, one cannot simply place them and forget. Ritualistic care, akin to tending to a sacred flame, is essential. The spirit or deity residing within expects regular offerings and rituals to maintain its benevolent guardianship. Families might present offerings of food, burn fragrant incense, or whisper age-old prayers, ensuring that the mask's protective qualities remain vibrant and unyielding. 

Through these practices, the masks continue their silent vigil, guarding homes and hearts across generations.
