White sage is commonly used for its ability to clear negative energy and purify the air. Scientific observations suggest it can significantly reduce aerial bacteria, while the ritual itself is often used to improve mood and promote mental clarity.

Do I need any special equipment to use this smudge stick?

You will need a lighting source, such as matches, and a heatproof bowl or smudging dish to catch ashes and safely hold the stick while it smolders. It is also recommended to have a clear intention for your cleansing ritual before you begin.

How long should I let the sage stick burn?

You only need to light the tip for a few seconds until it catches fire, then blow it out so it smolders. You can move through your space for as long as you feel necessary to complete your ritual, and you can extinguish the stick to save the remainder for future use.
