What is a loofah and how is it made?

A loofah is a natural sponge derived from the luffa plant, a member of the cucumber family. Once the fruit matures, it is peeled and the seeds are removed to reveal a dense network of fibers. These fibers are then washed and dried completely before being embedded into the soap to create a natural exfoliating tool.

Can this soap loaf be used on all parts of the body?

The loofah fibers provide an intensive scrub, making it highly effective for tougher areas like the arms, legs, and feet. While it can be used all over, it is important to apply very gentle pressure on more sensitive areas of the skin to avoid irritation.

How should I store the soap after slicing it?

To keep the soap and the natural loofah fibers in the best condition, always place the bars on a draining soap dish between uses. Allowing the soap to air dry in a well-ventilated area helps prevent the fibers from remaining damp for too long.
