What are the primary materials used in this shade?

This lamp shade is made from natural banana leaf fibers and black raffia, which is locally referred to as Hitam raffia. These materials are woven together by hand to ensure a durable and high-quality finish.

Can this be used for a ceiling light?

Yes, this product is designed to be versatile and is suitable for use with both standing lamps and ceiling-mounted light fixtures. Its smaller size makes it particularly effective for adding focused texture to compact rooms or hallway lighting.

How should I clean the natural fibers?

To care for your lamp shade, gently dust the surface with a soft, dry cloth or a feather duster. It is best to avoid using water or liquid cleaners, as moisture can damage the natural integrity of the banana leaf and raffia weave over time.
