Benzoin – Dilute/Dpg Essential Oil – 500ml

Benzoin – Dilute/Dpg Essential Oil – 500ml is a versatile aromatic extract valued for its comforting and warming properties. This larger volume is ideal for frequent users who incorporate this resinous oil into their daily wellness or crafting routines.

Benzoin – Dilute/Dpg Essential Oil – 500ml

Sourced from the Philippines, this oil is extracted from the resin of the Styrax Benzoin tree through solvent extraction. Because pure benzoin resin is naturally very thick and sticky, this product is pre-diluted in Dipropylene Glycol (DPG) to improve its fluidity. This makes it much easier to pour, measure, and blend compared to undiluted extracts, which often solidify at room temperature. Ancient Wisdom has provided a product that maintains the integrity of the natural resin while ensuring it is practical for modern home use.

The aroma of this oil is characterized by a sweet, balsamic, and vanilla-like profile that has made it a staple in the perfumery and incense industries for centuries. Its warming scent makes it a popular choice for creating a soothing atmosphere in living spaces or professional environments. As a base note, it helps to ground lighter fragrances, making it an excellent fixative for custom essential oil blends. Whether you are looking to support a sense of calm during stressful periods or simply wish to enjoy a rich, creamy fragrance, this oil fits perfectly into any aromatherapy collection.

How to Use This Product

To enjoy the fragrance of Benzoin – Dilute/Dpg Essential Oil – 500ml, you can add a few drops to an oil burner or ultrasonic diffuser. The DPG base helps the oil disperse more evenly and reduces the risk of sticky residue building up in your device. For topical application, such as in massage or skincare, it is important to further dilute this product in a suitable carrier oil. A common ratio is 1 to 2 percent of the essential oil blend to the carrier oil. Always perform a patch test before broader use to ensure skin compatibility.
